Pacific Eletric Ray, Tetronarce californica

A graceful and exotic creature, the Pacific Electric Ray is the only electric ray found off the coast of Western North America. The ray inhabits rocky reefs, sandy flats, and kelp beds, and can give off powerful electric shocks measuring up to 45 volts at 1 killowatt as a means of defense and attack.
